How to get Mythic Essence in League of Legends
Mythic Essence can be obtained in several ways.
- You will get 25 Mythic Essence when completing a Milestone Mission from the Event Pass
- Hextech Chests have a 3.6% chance of dropping 10 Mythic Essence
- Masterwork Chests have a 4.2% chance of dropping 5 Mythic Essence
- After level 150, you will get 10 Mythic Essence for every 50 levels you level up

What is Mythic Essence in League of Legends?
Riot has decided to move away from Gemstones and Prestige Points, instead introducing a new currency in the form of Mythic Essence to be used in their new, and aptly named Mythic Store.
The goal of the new Mythic Essence currency is to allow players to get their hands on new and popular skins without having to spend real money or grind tirelessly.

Players can spend their Mythic Essence on rotating content including unvaulted Prestige skins, Mythic thematic skins, seasonal wards, emotes, and more. Prestige skins will rotate every month, while Mythic skins will swap on a three-month basis.
To get access to the Mythic Store, click on the Mythic Essence icon in your ‘Loot’. This will reveal the exclusive store.
Two new systems to be added in phase 2 of the Mythic Essence update will also let players earn the currency through Showcase and Masterwork Milestones.
