Valve Reveals Winners of CS:GO Art Contest
This week, Valve announced the winners of their weapon skin contest ahead of their next CS:GO operation, Dreams & Nightmares. With more than 15,000 entries from fans around the world, a total of 17 submissions were selected to be part of the upcoming update.
A grand total prize pool of $1.7 million means that each artist team can look forward to $100,000 in prize money as well as having their artwork appear in the game.
The prize pool was originally supposed to be almost half the size, but as Valve decided to expand the number of winning submissions by 7 as opposed to 10, the prize pool also saw an increase in size.
The contest kicked off July 22nd, with Valve asking artists to create and submit original dream-themed artworks and designs for the Dreams & Nightmares cases. You can view the full list of winners and their weapon skins here.
