Gwen, Yone and Gangplank Receive Buffs in Preview for League’s Patch 12.7
The preview for League’s next patch, 12.7, highlights a list of buffs for nine champions and a slew of nerfs for Zeri and other dominant champions across the board.
With 12.7, Riot aims to bring several older champions back into the spotlight in an attempt to diversify the current meta ahead of the 2022 Mid-Season Invitational.

After being targeted with nerfs in patch 12.5, Riot aims to bring Gwen back into the competitive meta with an intent to increase her current win rate, which stands low at higher tiers of play. Similarly, Neeko, Lilia, and Pantheon have been out of the competitive spotlight, with drastically low pick rates in both higher and lower tiers of play.
An unexpected Ryze nerf decreases the champ’s excellent mana from 3% to 2% while Q AP Ratio gets changed from 45% to 50%. However, Yasuo has been consistently dominating top lane for a while, yet has been targeted with buffs to make the champ more viable for professional play.
Patch 12.7 is scheduled to release on live servers across all regions on Wednesday, April 13.
