League of Legends Patch 12.3 Highlights
League’s newest patch brings massive adjustments to recently introduced champion Zeri while including reworks for Ahri, bringing substantial nerfs to Akshan and Caitlyn.
Patch 12.3 also aims to fulfill Riot’s goal of having each item feel ‘tailored’ for every sub-class, bringing adjustments to a variety of available items.
Champion Changes
Ahri gets a full refresh with her base stats and abilities receiving a complete rework, restoring her identity as a mobile mage assassin. Ahsan ends up on Riot’s nerf list along with many other champions as the developer adjust his passive Dirty Fighting’s Bonus move speed upon canceling the second shot from 35 to 75 (levels one to 18) to 20 to 75 (levels one to 18) and Three-stack bonus magic damage from 20 to 175 (levels one to 18) > 10 to 165 (levels one to 18). Amumu, Caitlyn, Leblanc, and Lilia are the other champions that have ended up on Riot’s nerf list.
Mythic Fighter Items receive major reworks
Riot has targeted Mythic Fighter items in their latest patch to make the fighter classes seem less tanky and durable. Divine Sunderer receives a rework in the build path, with a health nerf from 400 to 300.
In an effort to have each mythic possess its unique benefits, the developer's League team has diversified the existing Mythic Fighter items. However, Trinity Force is an exception in this case as it receives a Health buff to match the other options available. Goredrinker also gets a build path rework with the health reduced from 450 to 300 and an attack damage buff from 45 to 55.
The update will release on live servers on Wednesday, February 2. Patch 12.3 also includes bug fixes and multiple quality of life changes for multiple champions, including a full VFX rehash for Vel’Koz. You can read more about them by clicking on the full patch notes here.
