League’s 12.5 Mid-Patch Update Reveals ‘Urgent’ Nerfs for Aphelios, Jinx

The balance-patch for League's newest update reveals a slew of ‘urgent changes’ that include nerfs for ADC top laners Jinx, Ashe, Aphelios, and Zeri.

12.5b marks as the final update before Riot's League team takes a week-long break from development with the next patch slated for a March 30 release.

Top ADC Carries nerfed

Designer on the Summoner's Rift team, Riot developer 'Phlox' revealed the list of changes that target the current ADC meta, including substantial nerfs for dominant ADC carries across the board.

Aphelios

  • Armor: 28 nerfed to 26
  • Health: 530 nerfed to 510

Ashe

  • W ability - Volley: Mana 70 at all ranks changed to 75/70/65/60/55
  • R ability - Enchanted Crystal Arrow: Cooldown 100/80/60 seconds changed to 80/70/60 seconds

Jinx

  • Q ability - Switcheroo!: Fishbones mana 16/17/18/19/20 changed to 20 at all ranks, range 100/125/150/175/200 to 80/110/140/170/200

Lucian

  • AD Growth: 2.3 (101.1 at level 18) changed to 2.9 (111.3 at level 18)
  • Passive: Magic Damage on-hit 14 (+10% AD) changed to 14 (+20% AD)

Locket of the Iron Solari - Item

  • Consecrate bonus armor, magic resist: 5 changed to 3
  • Devotion shield amount: 230 to 385 (target’s levels one to 18) nerfed to 200-365 (target’s levels one to 18)

The slew of balance adjustments aim to fulfill Riot's intent to nerf the current ADC carries that have appeared a little too strong in terms of win rate. Along with nerfs for a list of its champions, the latest hotfix also includes bug fixes for champs Elise and Vex.

The B-patch for 12.5 is slated to hit live servers on Friday, March 11, as the current update stays on live servers for four weeks, instead of two.
