Riot Deploys Massive Swain Changes on PBE
After teasing mid-scope updates for Olaf, Taliyah, and Swain, Riot's League team has revealed the entire list of overhauls coming to Swain on PBE.
The newest set of alterations for the Noxian Grand General aims to shift his identity to a "blood-tanking terror" with a significant mid-lane impact.

"We're upping how often Swain can use R and removing the 'ticking clock' on how long he can stay in his form," revealed Associate Champion Designer Tim ‘Truexy’ Jyang. Pulling some power from Swain's passive, Riot has focused on the General's Ultimate and E ability, further solidifying his identity as a blood-draining master tactician.
With a cooldown rate decreased from 9/7.5/6/4.5/3s to 7/6/5/4/3, Swain's Q would help League fans clear waves with ease, dealing significant damage. The set of changes to Swain’s kit would help the struggling General’s pick-rate that currently stands at 1.78% according to stat-tracker Lolalaytics.
Riot didn't explicitly reveal a specific live-server release date for the Noxian General's rework, but we expect it to ship along with Patch 12.8, slated for an April 27 release.
Also, League fans should note that the champion might undergo some minor overhauls upon release, subject to the player feedback gathered on PBE.
