Taliyah, Olaf and Swain Set To Receive Reworks in League’s Season 12
After the recent slew of reworks for multiple champions, including Ahri, and Jhin, successfully upped their win rate in higher and lower tiers of play, Riot Games have announced the ‘mid-scope’ rework for Olaf, Taliyah, and Swain.
Olaf, Taliyah, and the Noxian Grand General Swain have been missing from the current meta, and Riot looks to change the same following their recent mini-rework for Rengar, which met with success.
Along with Olaf and Taliyah, we're also working on a mid-scope update for Swain! @TheTruexy is the designer working on him. Will have more to share in future. https://t.co/X8OxDHoTsD pic.twitter.com/o5KwlBNeRQ

Riot developer ‘August’ revealed that a Swain rework was in the pipeline for a while, following the Noxian Grand Generals’ staggeringly low pick rate, 1.56 according to MOBA stats website lolanalytics.
With their increased burst fire and mana scaling, newer champions steadily rose to prominence, decreasing Swain’s popularity.
“These changes attempt to revitalize characters that have lost a bit of their shine over time, ideally they’re something the players of those champs can be excited about. Will have more to share in the future,” stated Lead Designer ‘August’.
However, the Olaf and Taliyah changes might take the champions in a different direction, but the developers haven’t revealed much about the changes except that they’re in active development.
Riot hasn’t announced an exact date for the reworks, but fans should expect more information in the coming months as Riot’s League team plans to deploy the set of reworks in the Season 12 meta.
