Teamfight Tactics Patch 11.22 Highlights
The game-changing new patch for Teamfight Tactics adds a large roster of reworked and new champions to the game while including quality of life changes to Ranked, and more.
Patch 11.22 marks the release of ‘Gizmos and Gadgets’, the sixth set featuring a diverse roster of 59 champs, reimagined and new. Set 6 features the addition of 129 new traits.
New set mechanic 'Hextech Augments' brings Adaptability
The TFT team at Riot promises to bring Adaptability to the game with their newest set mechanic, something that the previous mechanics failed to do. With its 140 effects, the 'easy to understand' mechanic also aims to offer players access to Augments of equal power simultaneously.
Ranked Demotions set to be removed
Patch 11.22 would no longer demote players upon reaching Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, or Masters. The removal of Rank demotion will enable TFT fans to experiment within the Ranked ladder without the fear of losing a Ranked tier.
Following are the changes coming to TFT’s Ranked mode:
- Players will no longer be demoted in rank for tiers Iron to Master.
- Players will still be demoted in divisions, eg. Platinum I to Platinum II
- Grandmaster and Challenger will still allow for demotion.
- Players would be be able to start climbing the ladder in this set's first ranked stage, right after ‘Gizmos and Gadgets’ goes live in their region.
- Every player will start G&G in Iron II.
- Players will get 5 provisional matches after the reset, meaning that they will not lose any LP for sub-top 4 placements in your first 5 ranked games of the new stage. Also gain extra LP for finishing top 4.
- Hyper rating will be reset to 500.
