Teamfight Tactics Patch 12.3 Highlights

The final patch for TFT’s sixth set, Gizmos’ and Gadgets brings minor balance changes to items and Prismatic trait linked augments, readying players for the massive Neon Nights Set 6.5 update while reworking the way Tome of Traits work.

After including nerfs for major champions in the mid-week B-patch for 12.2, TFT’s newest patch doesn’t introduce a list of changes but fixes on existing items and traits in-game, preparing TFT enthusiasts for the huge roster-swap that will include Arcane’s Silco.

Prismatic Trait-linked Augment Changes

  • Prismatic Crown and Soul Augments will no longer be offered as the 2nd or 3rd Augment choices unless the player has the first trait tier active (For instance, Arcanist 2 must be active to be offered Arcanist Crown). There are, however, 2 exceptions.
  • Exception 1: You can be offered Mutant Crown with 2 Mutants in play.
  • Exception 2: You can be offered Mercenary Crown with 2 Mercenaries in play.

Augment changes

  • Ancient Archives (Tome of Traits): Gold changed to Silver
  • Featherweights Attack Speed: 30/40/60% reduced to 25/35/55%
  • Thrill of the Hunt I and II Heal on Kill: 300/600 increased to 400/700
  • Underdogs percent Health regen per second: 10% reduced to 9%
  • Exiles I and II percent Health Shield: 35/50% reduced to 30/45%
  • Shrug It Off percent Health regen per second: 3 reduced to 2.5∞
  • Sunfire Board burn duration: 8 increased 10 seconds
  • Sunfire Board max burn total (over the course of 10 seconds) Health percentage: 16% increased to 20%

Traits

  • Socialite: Mana regeneration buffed from 3 to 4.
  • Bodyguard: Armor increased from 75/150/250/450 to 80/160/250/450
  • Innovator Mechanical Dragon bonus Critical Strike Damage buff: 40% changed to 30%

Changes introduced to Tome of Traits

In an effort to make Tome of Traits less abusable and more intuitive, Riot’s TFT team have changed the rules of Tome of Traits The revamped system will now offer players tailored Emblems that will depend upon their total active and inactive traits in the previous combat round.

  • 0 to 4 inactive or active traits will grant zero tailored emblems
  • 5 to 6 inactive or active traits grants one tailored emblem
  • 7 to 8 inactive or active traits grants two tailored emblems
  • 9 to 10 inactive or active traits grants three tailored emblems
  • 11 or more inactive or active traits will grant the player four tailored emblems
