Teamfight Tactics Patch 12.5 Highlights
The first patch in TFT’s set 6.5 ‘Neon Nights’ brings along a sew of buffs and nerfs for a variety of champions, while also reworking a dominant champ, Rek’Sai, and more.
Heavy on balance changes and adjustments, Patch 12.5 will last two patch cycles instead of one, making players wait a whole one month until the game’s next patch, scheduled for a March 30 release.
Rek’sai reworked
To restore her place as a 'tanky unit' with team healing capabilities, Rek'sai receives a mini-rework that disables her resistance shred and adjusts her scalings.
After receiving a slew of nerfs in Patch 12.4, the two-cost champion ends up on Riot's nerf list again as the developers attempt to reduce the champ's synergy with other three-cost trait units.
- Spell Base Damage: Now no longer scales with AP
- Armor & Magic Resist: 40 increased to 45
- Resist steal (removed): 10% to 0%
- Heal: 150/250/400 (no Ability Power scaling) changed to 150/200/350 (Ability Power scaling)
- NEW - If Rek’sai has already bit her target, she will heal for 250/350/500 (scales with AP) health instead.
Patch 12.5 aims to create a healthier, stable meta by adjusting and fine-tuning on its champs released in Set 6.5 while working on the ones introduced in ‘Gizmos and Gadgets’, TFT’s previous set.

Scheduled to release on Wednesday, March 2, Patch 12.5 will be TFT’s longest patch, being live for four weeks instead of the usual two.
