Pros Unhappy With Deathmatch Mode in Valorant

Both pros and fans are unhappy with deathmatch in Valorant despite new fixes from Riot with the latest 4.03 update. Many features and modes are still missing, and with no fixes in sight, they took to Twitter to voice their frustrations.

One step forward, two steps back

With the latest 4.03 update, Riot introduced new buffs and balances to Agents and weapons. The patch also crucially focused on the issues with spawns in deathmatch that had players being killed seconds after spawning.

Even though Riot had somewhat successfully removed the spawning issue by dropping lobby numbers from 14 to 12, the overall experience remains lackluster according to fans, which prompted them to vent their frustrations with the game mode in general.

Some of the most frequently mentioned issues were the short duration of each deathmatch, the kill limit, new players not being able to join ongoing sessions, the mini-map, and the lack of different modes in deathmatch.

With the next patch only a few weeks away, it looks as though Riot will have their hands full in balancing the popular game mode.
