Valorant Patch 3.09 Highlights
With their newest patch, Riot have introduced some nerfs to its Classic pistol while including some adjustments for their new map, Fracture.
Patch 3.09 also marks the start of Act 3, the final act in Valorant’s third Episode.
To control the use of Classic in mid-range encounters, Riot brings some nerfs to the weapon's run and gun accuracy. The new set of nerfs will restrict the over-performing pistol’s effectiveness to only close-ranged combat.
- Walking firing error increased to 2.5 from 1.95
- Running firing error increased to 3.2 from 2.1
- Jumping firing error increased to 4.0 from 3.0
Fracture receives several updates
- The B Arcade attacker barrier gets shifted back towards Attacker Side Bridge, allowing defenders to contest the area quickly.
- Defender barrier at A Rope gets moved up to the top of ropes, making it easier for Sentinels to prepare.
- A Hall orb shifted into a more neutral space, making it less favorable for attackers.
- New piece of cover in Attacker spawn gets added to break the long sightline from Hall entrance to B Main, with an intent to relieve some pressure from attackers when defenders flank quickly.
In terms of new content, Episode 3 seems less exciting enough for fans as Riot have postponed the release of its latest sentinel, Chamber, earlier scheduled to drop today. You can read about the rest of the bug fixes here.
