League of Legends Patch 12.6 Highlights
League's Patch 12.6 introduces nerfs for meta carries Hecarim and Tryndamere, buffs to Azir, while incorporating significant lifesteal changes with a mini-rework to Rengar.
The newest League patch arrives on live servers after almost a month-long wait, with the last patch, 12.5, released at the start of March.
Hecarim, Tryndamere targeted with nerfs
While League's newest patch doesn't target a list of champions with balance adjustments, Riot has targeted meta champions Hecarim and Tryndamere with nerfs that aim to weaken their dominance in the top lane meta. Hecarim receives a Base Damage reduction to his Q, while his E receives a Minimum and Maximum Total Damage nerf, fulfilling Riot's intent of changing his overpowering identity as a tank.
On the other hand, Tryndamere receives an increase in the R cooldown from 110/100/90 seconds to 130/110/90 seconds to diminish his prominence at higher levels of play. Azir receives an overall buff to his base stats with Health per level increased from 92 to 105.

Slated to release on Wednesday, March 30, Patch 12.6 also marks the arrival of Mythic essence, a currency that merges gemstones and prestige points into single tokens that never expire.
